Daysi Liliana; Cayo Lema, Luis EfraínASBTRACT The present research focuses on the analysis of social and educational barriers faced by children with dyslexia, using a qualitative approach, descriptive in scope. The study was developed in the first year of General Basic Education of the “Francesco Bernardone” Educational Unit with a population of 10 students, under the non-probabilistic sample, the five children identified with dyslexia were selected, the techniques used were observation and interview with their respective instruments, the observation sheet and the guide of questions. The results of the research are directed to the poor integration among their peers because they did not share the same ideas and therefore did not interact in the activities, on the other hand the teacher did not achieve from her didactic strategies that the children interact; this is considered as social barriers; In addition, educational barriers were identified such as confusing letters and numbers as is the case of the letter “b” with the letter “d”, the letter “p” with the letter “q”, the number “6” with the number “9”, the number “3” with the number “8” and the letter “m” with the letter “w”, at the time of painting the children went outside the lines of the images, they had difficulty understanding the pictograms. In conclusion, it was possible to identify the social and educational barriers that children with dyslexia face.
