The integration of fig leaf and uvilla into the isotonic drink not only takes advantage of its individual benefits, but also it creates a product that offers hydration and health benefits. Minerals addition such as sodium, potassium, and magnesium is crucial for restoring body's electrolyte balance. To develop the drink, three combinations of concentrations of fig leaf substrate (Ficus carica l), uvilla juice (Physalis peruviana) and sweeteners were added, in addition, saline components were used in percentage amounts according to Colombian Technical Standard (NTC) 3837. A completely random block design (DBCA) with factorial arrangement of AxB (3x2) with two replications using osmolality measurement and sensory analysis. The best treatment was defined by osmolality and acceptability analysis. t3 treatment (a₂b1), which obtained an osmolality of 839 mmol/kg, a value that indicates that a hypertonic drink was obtained as a final result. Physicochemical analyses of the best treatment were performed, the obtained data was: 100 g/ml of acidity; 15% soluble solids; 4 pH, the results of microbiological analyses corresponding to molds are < 10 CFU/ml, in case of E. coli and salmonella with an absence of VLP* (virus-like particles). Therefore, the hypertonic drink was made with natural ingredients that have minerals in their own way, therefore there would be no need to add them artificially, in the same way the drink has electrolytes that are necessary to rehydrate the body. It should be noted that this drink does not contain caffeine or taurine, for this reason, the osmotic value of the uvilla is what makes it hypertonic.
