“La inteligencia artificial SUNO como estrategia para el desarrollo fonológico en los estudiantes de educación general básica”
(Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi (UTC). Pujilií. Pedagogía de la Lengua y Literatura, 2026-09-29) Moreno Chasiloa, Franklin Armando; León Raura, María Victoria
Phonological awareness is a fundamental skill for the development of reading and writing during the early years of schooling. However, some students experience difficulties in identifying, distinguishing, and manipulating the sounds of language, which negatively affects learning in the subject of Language and Literature as well as their overall academic performance. In this context, artificial intelligence has gained increasing relevance as an innovative pedagogical support resource through the use of personalized prompts that are practical and easy to implement. Therefore, the aim of this study was to determine the effect of using the artificial intelligence tool Suno as a didactic strategy for the development of phonological awareness among fourth-grade students of Basic General Education at the General "Eloy Alfaro" Educational Unit. This research adopted a quantitative approach with a quasi-experimental design involving a single group assessed through a pretest and posttest. The sample consisted of 30 students. Data were collected using a pedagogical test, an observation checklist, and a Likert-scale questionnaire. The results showed an improvement in academic performance, with the average score increasing from 85.33% in the pretest to 96.00% in the posttest, representing a 10.67% increase. Furthermore, students expressed positive perceptions regarding the use of songs generated with Suno as a learning support tool. It was concluded that this technological resource strengthens phonological awareness, increases student motivation, and promotes the development of linguistic competencies in Basic General Education.
