This study addresses the decline in reading interest among upper basic education students at the "Gral. Miguel Iturralde" Educational Unit. Its objective is to develop innovative strategies to strengthen reading motivation by integrating technology. Using a mixed-methods approach, both descriptive and propositional, the research evaluated a sample of 11 students. The Iadov technique revealed a Group Satisfaction Index of 0.00, indicating a state of group ambivalence, affective instability, apathy, and a motivation strongly dependent on the teacher. Furthermore, the interviews revealed a marked cognitive dissociation: 100% of the students value reading for their future professional and work life, but 54.5% admit that they do not read in their free time due to fatigue or a rejection of the traditional school experience. Faced with this problem, three pedagogical strategies were designed: the Free Reading Contract (with the right to abandon the book), Expanded Reading (using contemporary and digital cultural artifacts), and Affective Scaffolding (shared reading in pairs). It is concluded that increasing motivation requires a pedagogical re-engineering that capitalizes on teacher leadership, legitimizes adolescent interests, and transforms reading into an autonomous habit
