- Item“La motivación y el desempeño laboral de los trabajadores de la Cooperativa Ambato”(Ecuador : Latacunga : Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi (UTC), 2024-08) Pérez Tandalla, Stefany Mishell; Montenegro Cueva, Efrén GonzaloThe main objective of this study was to determine the influence between "Motivation" and "Work Performance" of the workers of the Savings and Credit Cooperative "Ambato Ltda." This research has a quantitative approach at a relational and explanatory level, with a non-experimental cross-sectional design. The population under study is 310 employees, from which a non-probabilistic convenience sample of 263 workers was taken. In the first instance, an interpretation of the theoretical model that supports the relationship between the two constructs was carried out. Then a diagnosis and assessment of the study variables was carried out in the already defined context, using the survey technique through two instruments whose psychometric properties have evidence of validity. For the motivation variable, Frederick Herzberg's questionnaire (1959) was used, consisting of 34 items, which are divided into two dimensions (motivational factor and hygiene factor), and for the job performance variable, the Goodman, SA and Svyantek questionnaire was used. DJ (1999), made up of 16 items, which measures two main dimensions of work performance (task performance and contextual performance), these questionnaires are designed through a Likert scale with 5 response levels. For data analysis, SPSS Software Version 27 was used, resulting in the general hypothesis that there is a moderate positive relationship between the variables “Motivation” and “Work Performance”, with a Rho correlation coefficient of Spearman of 0.604 and with a P-Value of 0.001, which indicates that the relationship is statistically significant, concluding that there is a relationship between “Motivation” and “Work Performance” of the workers of the Ambato Cooperative. Finally, to improve the motivation of workers, it is suggested to develop motivation programs that adjust to the particular needs and preferences of employees, and thus the desired behavior will be strengthened and motivation levels will be kept high.
