    “Metodología Design Thinking para los procesos productivos de la Florícola Flower Fresh del Cantón Latacunga”

    This research project was developed in Flower Fresh Floriculture to identify the current situation in the production processes, the problems and deficiencies that it presents, being its objective to apply the Design Thinking Methodology for the production processes of the Flower Fresh Floriculture of the Latacunga Canton. The methodology applied is that of Design Thinking which consists of 5 stages; in the first stage, the general problem was identified, being the waste of flowers, all the workers involved in the area of production processes were empathized with, the second stage, the cause of inefficient environmental management and its effects were defined, such as environmental pollution, increased pests and diseases, and soil contamination. Third stage, 5 solutions were devised, obtaining the highest score in the design of a manual for recording the types of diseases and pests, as well as the treatment to be implemented, in the fourth stage, the respective prototype was developed, achieving as a result that its design was effective. As a last stage, the prototype was tested using the evaluation process, which showed that it is viable during its application. In conclusion, it was determined that the application of the pest and disease control manual resulted in a significant reduction in flower wastage. During the months before its application in April and May there was a waste of 250 bunches and after its application in June and July, the loss was only 100 bunches, achieving a reduction of 150 bunches, making its application effective.
