- ItemGestión para el uso adecuado del agua residual después del proceso de purificación en la empresa embotelladora “TANNIC” .(Ecuador: Latacunga: Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi: (UTC), 2024-08) Ante Ayala, Leonel Alejandro; Ante Ramírez, Lennin Josué; Salgado Gallo, Esteban AlexanderThe project focused on considering water pollution as a central problem because of industrial and daily human activities. Wastewater is a product of these activities, and industries must effectively manage this waste. The research specifically analyzes the wastewater management process of the bottling company “TANNIC,” since the company maintains a considerable waste of water, around 50% wasted and falls into the sewer, a product of the reverse osmosis purification process. For this, the objective established is to manage the wastewater after the purification process; establish the physicochemical characteristics of water and determine alternatives for the reuse of this resource as well as cost estimation through a proposal budget. The research methodology proposed is scientific, using field research to collect two samples, both purified water and rejection water. These samples have physicochemical and microbiological characteristics suitable for human consumption, as established in INEN 1108:2011 and 1108:2014. As an alternative, a new filtering cycle was suggested, storing the rejected water, and using it to bottle it again. For this, it will be necessary to purchase a stainless-steel storage tank, steel pipes, valves, and pumps. As a result, 2500 ml of water can be reused, which allows the company to obtain new economic returns.
- Item“Optimización de costos de servicio de mantenimiento de matrices para el mejoramiento de la eficiencia del servicio en la empresa Pulpa Moldeada S.A”.(Ecuador: Latacunga: Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi: (UTC), 2024-08) Carasayo Sillo, José Ricardo; Sanipatin Ortiz, Jeremy Xavier; Salgado Gallo, Esteban AlexanderThis work focuses on the optimization of maintenance costs for dies (egg tray molds) at Pulpa Moldeada S.A., with the aim of improving operational efficiency and reducing unnecessary expenses. A methodology was applied that included the analysis of current processes, surveys of the staff to identify perceptions about maintenance efficiency and the application of the simplex method to optimize resources. The results revealed that 90.91% of the staff considers the maintenance processes to be efficient, although 9.09% identified areas for improvement, especially in downtime. Opportunities to improve maintenance management were identified, such as the implementation of a predictive monitoring system and ongoing staff training. The proposed strategies, which include input optimization and improved maintenance protocols, have the potential to significantly reduce costs. The impact assessment showed positive results, with a reduction in downtime and an increase in productivity. The actions implemented have not only contributed to an immediate cost reduction, but also set the foundations for long-term sustainability. It is recommended to establish a continuous improvement plan, encourage staff participation in problem identification, and adopt advanced technologies for maintenance management. These initiatives will strengthen Pulpa Moldeada S.A.'s competitiveness in the market and ensure its future profitability.
