The research work aims to strengthen environmental sustainability based on indicators through the current diagnosis of the area. The methodology that was applied was based on the deductive-inductive method, supported by bibliographic and field documentation. In addition, the PER model was used to describe human actions and activities in the moor (Pressure), evaluate the current situation of natural resources and the environment (State) and propose solutions to address the problem (Response). To address the research, an on-site visit was carried out where the problems generated by anthropogenic activities, such as agriculture, livestock and deforestation, were observed. Direct observation techniques and surveys were applied to 152 inhabitants of the Yacubamba community, where 89% expressed a degree of acceptance for the implementation of environmental sustainability indicators. This led to the establishment of 40 indicators which are anchored in activities to achieve ecosystem balance, analyzing environmental, economic and social impacts. It sought to contribute as part of a sustainability approach to the planning and implementation of future activities, providing solutions to the environmental problems identified in the moor.
