| dc.description | The community of Salache belongs to the Eloy Alfaro parish of the Latacunga canton in the province of Cotopaxi, with a temperate to cold climate. The community inhabitants have lost interest in learning about the wild flora, reducing their knowledge and leaving aside research based on the existing biodiversity, despite carrying out recreational activities. They do not know which species live there and what their uses are. The main objective of this project was to develop a photographic-descriptive guide to the floristic diversity present on the Salache Campus. For this purpose, a qualitative approach was applied where exploratory and diagnostic research and intensive research were carried out to record and taxonomically identify the flora to expose and highlight the diversity of existing species so that students and teachers, in general, have a photographic-descriptive material with relevant information. Two study zones were established based on the plant cover, called: Z1: "Casa Hacienda" Z2: "Buildings of the CAREN Faculty," obtaining a result of 47 species and 28 families; being the Asteraceae family the most representative, with six species representing 13%, in second place the Rosaceae family with five species representing 11%, it was verified the conservation status that they are in minor concern, according to the International Union for Conservation of Nature. Through the elaboration of the guide, it is intended to make known the biological diversity, taxonomic information, image, description, conservation status, use, and a distribution map. It will serve as a tool for disseminating scientific-educational information, which will contribute to the development of interpretation and environmental conservation activities. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | La comunidad de Salache perteneciente a la parroquia Eloy Alfaro del cantón Latacunga de la provincia de Cotopaxi, cuenta con un clima templado a frío. Los habitantes de la comunidad han perdido el interés por el aprendizaje de la flora silvestre, disminuyendo los conocimientos y dejando de lado la investigación en base a la biodiversidad existente a pesar de realizar actividades de recreación al no saber que especies habitan y cuáles son sus usos, el objetivo principal de este proyecto fue desarrollar una guía fotográfico - descriptiva de la diversidad florística presente en el campus Salache, para ello se aplicó el enfoque cualitativo donde la investigación exploratoria, diagnóstica y la búsqueda intensiva para el registro, identificación taxonómica de la flora con la finalidad de exponer y resaltar la diversidad de especies existentes, para que los estudiantes y docentes en general tengan un material fotográfico-descriptiva con información relevante. Para lo cual se estableció dos zonas de estudio en base a la cobertura vegetal, denominadas: Z1: “Casa Hacienda”, Z2: “Edificios de la Facultad CAREN”, obteniendo como resultado 47 especies y 28 familias; siendo la familia Asteraceae la más representativa con 6 especies que representa el 13%, en segundo lugar la familia Rosaceae con 5 especies que representa el 11%, se verificó el estado de conservación que se encuentran en preocupación menor, según la Unión Internacional de Conservación de la Naturaleza. Mediante la elaboración de la guía se pretende dar a conocer la diversidad biológica, la información taxonómica, imagen, descripción, estado de conservación, usos y un mapa de distribución, servirá como una herramienta de difusión de información científica-educativa la cual contribuirá al desarrollo de actividades de interpretación y conservación ambiental. | es_ES |
