| dc.description | The research on women's occupational safety, focused on a savings and credit cooperative in the central region of the country, represents a significant effort to understand and address the specific needs of women in the workplace. Adopting a quantitative approach, this study relies on data collection and analysis to uncover behavioral patterns and validate theories related to female occupational safety. The study population included 51 participants who completed the questionnaire "Role of human resource policies in ensuring women’s safety in the workplace". The Cronbach's Alpha of the instrument was determined, resulting in α= 0.658. The study's findings reveal a varied perception of occupational safety among the employees, highlighting critical areas such as the need to improve maternity leave and the accessibility to medical services and childcare. These areas of improvement are crucial for reconciling work and family life, and emphasize the importance of adopting more inclusive and gender-sensitive policies. The research concludes with the most concerning finding being the absence of childcare centers, perceived by 82.4% of respondents, calling for the continuous adaptation and evolution of organizations to strengthen occupational safety, promoting significant changes in policies, procedures, and, most importantly, in organizational culture. | dc.description.abstract | La investigación sobre la seguridad laboral de las mujeres, enfocada en una cooperativa de ahorro y crédito en la región central del país, representa un esfuerzo significativo por comprender y abordar las necesidades específicas de las mujeres en el entorno laboral. Adoptando un enfoque cuantitativo, esta investigación se apoya en la recopilación y análisis de datos para descubrir patrones de comportamiento y validar teorías relacionadas con la seguridad laboral femenina. La población de estudio incluyó 51 participantes que respondieron el cuestionario "Role of human resource policies in ensuring women’s safety in the workplace". Se determinó el Alpha de Cronbach del instrumento, el cual arrojó α= 0.658. Los resultados del estudio revelan una percepción variada de la seguridad laboral entre las empleadas, destacando áreas críticas como la necesidad de mejorar las licencias de maternidad y la accesibilidad a servicios médicos y de guardería. Estas áreas de mejora son fundamentales para la conciliación entre la vida laboral y familiar, y resaltan la importancia de adoptar políticas más inclusivas y sensibles al género. La investigación concluye dando como resultado más preocupante la inexistencia de centros de cuidado infantil con una perspectiva del 82,4%, con un llamado a la adaptación y evolución constante de las organizaciones para fortalecer la seguridad laboral, promoviendo cambios significativos en las políticas, procedimientos y, sobre todo, en la cultura organizativa. Este cambio cultural profundo tiene el potencial de transformar las actitudes hacia la seguridad laboral, asegurando un ambiente de trabajo seguro y equitativo para todas las empleadas. | es_ES |
