| dc.description | In this paper the prevalence of gastrointestinal parasites in Huacaya Alpacas was determined through the prevalence rate; to collect information, an analysis about the current situation in Apagua Community was set up which obtains the number of Huacayas that live in the area. A coproparasitario examination was carried in the parasitology laboratory at the Technical University of Cotopaxi used the "Method of Faust" which is based on floating eggs of parasites. Once, the identification was established, the results was located in contingency tables for its after tabulation; so the parasitic load was determined where shows that Huacayas have mild parasitism; then, the prevalence of gastrointestinal parasites was finalized and the researcher concluded there is a high prevalence in Nematodirus type spp with 42.11%, Trichuris spp 23.70% and the lowest prevalence Bunostomun type spp 0.90%.... | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | En el siguiente trabajo se estableció la prevalencia de los parásitos gastrointestinales en las alpacas huacayas; lo cual se evaluó mediante la tasa prevalencia, para la recolección de información se estableció un análisis de la situación actual en la Comunidad de Apagua para establecer el número de alpacas huacayas que habitan en la zona. Se realizó un examen coproparasitario en el laboratorio de parasitología de la Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi, se utilizó la “Técnica de Faust” la cual se basa en la flotación de los huevos parasitarios mediante la centrifugación donde se logra que floten para su identificación. Ya establecida la identificación se procedió a ubicar los resultados en tablas de contingencia para la posterior tabulación de los resultados y así se determinó la carga parasitaria donde muestra que las alpacas huacayas tienen una parasitosis leve…. | es_ES |
