| dc.description.abstract | To motivate is to awaken the interest and attention of the students for the values and contents of the subject, exciting in them the interest to learn it, the pleasure of studying it and the satisfaction of fulfilling the tasks that study requires. The person who considers study, intellectual work as an imposition, that person lacks motivation for study and therefore his lack of interest prevents him from starting his task well and finally achieving the desired success. The English language is a universal language so necessary in the current era due to the advancement of science and technology, whose treaties are written in this language; therefore from the first years of schooling the child must learn it, take interest in speaking it and it is the teacher's job to find the best motivational strategies to awaken the interest in the students to learn this language. Therefore, the present research develops the following topic: "Motivational strategies in the area of English in the seventh years of Basic Education in the 'Isidro Ayora' and 'Elvira Ortega' schools of Latacunga"; This is a topic of great interest due to the cultural expectations of the time. Consequently, this topic is developed in the following chapters: First, we discuss the fundamental aspects of motivation, its conceptualization, the different tasks that deal with this aspect, the types and classes of motivations that exist. The third chapter, which constitutes the central part of the research, presents the alternative proposal for the incorporation of motivational strategies in the planning of the English area in the seventh years of Basic Education of the schools investigated. Finally, the conclusions and recommendations that have been reached are presented and that will serve as a guideline for the teaching of English in the seventh year of Basic Education. | |
