| dc.description | The producers of the UTC gen project in the western area of Latacunga are concerned due to low reproductive efficiency, as they cannot obtain offspring every year due to long periods of open days. Therefore, the factors affecting the reproductive performance of cows during the 2023 period were analyzed. The considered parishes were four: Eloy Alfaro, Pastocalle, Toacaso, and Once de Noviembre from October 2023 to February 2024. The population consisted of 80 animals, including cows and heifers. Additionally, the initial gynecological diagnosis resulted in 36,25% of animals being acyclic and 47,50% cyclic, with the presence of ovarian cysts at 1,25% and 15% of females pregnant by bull. In the second diagnosis, the number of acyclic animals decreased to 18,75%, possibly due to vitamin, mineral, and tonic supplementation. Furthermore, a total of 46 artificial inseminations were performed, resulting in 60,87% pregnant, and heat regression or reabsorptions and abortions in 39,17% of the study population. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | Los productores del proyecto UTC gen de la zona occidental de Latacunga se encuentran preocupados debido a una baja eficacia reproductiva ya que no pueden obtener una cría cada año debido a largos periodos de días abiertos. Por lo tanto, se analizó los Factores que afectan a este rendimiento reproductivo de las vacas en el periodo 2023.Las parroquias consideradas fueron 4: Eloy Alfaro, Pastocalle, Toacaso y Once de Noviembre en el transcurso del mes de octubre del 2023 hasta febrero del 2024. La población fue de 80 animales incluidas vacas y vaconas. Además, el primer diagnóstico ginecológico dio como resultado 36,25% de animales acíclicos y 47,50% cíclicos, presencia de quistes ováricos con el 1,25% y con un 15% hembras preñadas por toro. Mientras que en el segundo diagnóstico se disminuyó los animales acíclicos a 18,75% posiblemente debido a la suplementación de vitaminas, minerales y reconstituyentes. Además, se realizaron un total de 46 inseminaciones artificiales de las cuales resultaron gestantes el 60,87% y regresión de celo o reabsorciones y abortos en el 39,17% de la población de estudio. | es_ES |
