| dc.description | The objective of the present investigation is to know the species of avifauna that exist in the parish of Cusubamba, belonging to the canton Salcedo, of the province of Cotopaxi—giving us a guide to the species recorded. For this purpose, the situational diagnostic employed sources of bibliography information and one visit in situ, determining that the primary economical source is the agricultural activities; no existing projects focused on the development of tourism, but there are natural and cultural attractions. Next meeting, the parish zoning was carried out, four zones were established in different communities for getting information of different places with climatologic conditions, economic activities, and ecosystems. The characteristics of zones were as follows: zone 1 the lower part of the parish where there are trees of eucalyptus and capulí this zone is the most populated, the zone 2 is the middle part where was taken as a reference one eucalyptus forest and zone of the grazing and crops, zone 3 was the upper part of the parish with one fragile ecosystem El Páramo and the zone 4 was one natural lake surrounded of trees of pine and polylepis; this last discarded because a few days of fieldwork no different species were observed in the study area, obtaining only sparrows, turtledoves and blackbirds, species adapted an intervened zones. In the bird watching was applied methods for the birds watching, in this case, was used two methods: point count and intensive search giving as a result twenty-fine species inventoried, the result was in zone 1, eleven species inventoried, the zone 2 with nineteen species and the zone 3 with ten species. There were used instruments for collecting information: field sheet, camera, GPS, binoculars, and the wikiloc app to plot the routes. It was applied the index of Sorensen to know if exist diversity and simulated between zones and giving us the result that the Z1 and Z2 have average similarity (53.33%), the other two comparisons with low similarity Z2 and Z3 (48,27) and the Z1 and Z3 (46,61%). Despite being in a different range of similarity according to the index comparison, it can be observed that the percentage difference is minimal. With the information collected and the used digital tools was built the description guide of the parish avifaunal, a guide is a tool handy and necessary for the bird watchers; inside it, we found the taxonomic information of each species (order, family, species, conservation status, description, and distribution) with photographic taken in the field. | es_ES |
| dc.description.abstract | El objetivo de la presente investigación es conocer las especies de avifauna que existen en la parroquia de Cusubamba, perteneciente al cantón Salcedo, de la provincia de Cotopaxi. Obteniendo una guía de las especies registradas. Para ello se realizó el diagnóstico situacional mediante fuentes de información bibliográfica y una visita in situ, determinando que la principal fuente económica de la parroquia es la actividad agropecuaria, además que, no existen proyectos enfocados al desarrollo del turismo, pero cuentan con atractivos naturales y culturales, tras conocer la parroquia y sus características, se efectuó la zonificación de manera que se establecieron cuatro lugares en comunas diferentes para obtener información de lugares con condiciones climatológicas, actividades económicas y ecosistemas diferentes; siendo, zona 1 la parte baja de la parroquia donde abundan árboles de eucalipto y capulí esta zona era la más poblada, la zona 2 la parte media se tomó como referencia un bosque de eucalipto, zonas de pastoreo y cultivos, la zona 3 la parte más alta de la parroquia con un ecosistema frágil y diverso el páramo y la zona 4 era una laguna natural rodeada de árboles de pinos y polylepis; ésta última descartada ya que luego de algunos días de trabajo de campo no se observaron especies diferentes en el área de estudio, obteniendo solo gorriones, tórtolas y mirlos, especies adaptadas a zonas intervenidas. En la observación de aves se aplicaron métodos de conteo en este caso se utilizó dos métodos: conteo por puntos y búsqueda intensiva el resultado fue muy bueno 25 especies inventariadas, el resultado fue en la zona 1 11 especies registradas, la zona 2 con 19 especies y la zona 3 con 10 especies. Se utilizaron instrumentos para el levantamiento de información: fichas de campo, una cámara, gps, binoculares y la aplicación wikiloc para graficar las rutas. Se aplicó el índice de Sorensen para conocer si existe diversidad y similitud entre las zonas y se obtuvo como resultado que la Z1 y Z2 tienen similitud media (53,33%), las otras dos comparaciones con similitud baja Z2 y Z3 (48,27%) y la Z1 y Z3 (46,61%). A pesar de estar en un rango de similitud diferente de acuerdo a la comparación del índice, se puede observar que la diferencia porcentual es mínima. Con la información recolectada y el uso de las herramientas digitales se construyó la guía descriptiva de la avifauna de la parroquia, la guía es una herramienta útil y necesaria para los observadores de aves, dentro de ella encontramos la información taxonómica de cada especie (orden, familia, especie, estado de conservación, descripción y distribución) con fotografías tomadas en el campo | es_ES |
