Description
The illustrations (drawings) are forms of concept’s representation which are done in order to define stories and graphic interpretations. The creativity plays an important role in the use of symbolic expressions of feelings including the culture. The present project proposed to study the festivity of Corpus Christi’s characters which is a religious ceremony. The main character is Danzante (representative personage of the place). For this reason, it takes the name of the festival of Corpus Christi’s dancer. The Corpus Christi´s festivity was selected due to the importance for its cultural meaning when it was declared an intangible heritage of the nation. The study give value to the collective memory and the social imaginaries about indigenous peoples and their gratitude for the harvests, which later merged with Catholic precepts during the colony period, instead the sun worship by Christ worship. The research approach is addressed with qualitative methodology defined by Taylor and Bogdan (2008), as those processes that approach the object and the reality from the people's own words, spoken or written and observable behavior....
