Motivate is to awaken the student's interest and attention in the value and information the assignment. It means creating in them excitement in the interest to learn it and the satisfaction of completing the assignments that study demands.
The person that considers study and intellectual work as an imposition lacks motivation to study and therefore his/her lack of interest hinders him from beginning his assignment well and in the end reaching the desired success.
The English language is a Universal language so necessary currently because of the advances in science and technology and because scientific writings are in this language. Therefore, beginning with his first school years a child should learn it and take interest ins speaking it. this is whit it is the teacher's job to seach out the bet motivational strategies to awake it school children's interest in learning this language.
Therefore, the current investigation develops the following subject "Motivational strategies in the English area in the seventh year of Basic Education in the “ Isidro Ayora” and “ Elvira Ortega” schools the Latacunga". This encourages a deep interest theme in the subject due to the cultural expectations of our time, the As a consequence, this theme is developed in the following chapters:
First, we deal with the fundamental aspects of motivation, its conception, the different assignments that deal with this aspect and also the different types and classes of motivation that exits. Then, motivation in the teaching of English in analysed in a determined form, that is, the mechanisms, factors and strategies the allow correct learning.
In the second chapter the most fundamental characteristics of the investigated schools are analysed “ Elvira Ortega and Isidro Ayora “. Also, the way of teaching English in the same Schools is analysed.
And exposition is also made as a central part about the opinions of the seventh year Basic Education principles, teachers and students. The proposed hypothesis is also verified.
