Abstract
research was carried out with the clear objective of providing technical knowledge of English for the students of second and third course of the electricity speciality of the Technical "Pujili." secondary school, taking into account the importance of mastering the language of their specialty. The theoretical part is based on the information about: English, technical English, pedagogy, psychology required for the elaboration of the text that has served as support developing this thesis. he main objective that guided this investigative process was: To design a technical English text for the students of second and third course of the electricity speciality of the Technical "Pujilí" secondary school. The results of the search apply to teachers and students of the institution before said, demonstrate the necessity of create a text of a technical nature that help to improve the academic profile of future graduates and give better job opportunities.
All this forms the basis of the proposal for the development of the technical English text with theoretical practical content to motivate and facilitate to students in the development of the teaching-learning process of this language; where the student change a passive and receiving attitude to become an active and dynamic person, that links the technical knowledge with the practical knowledge in the workshop.
