- Item“Valoración del paisaje socioambiental existente de la parroquia Eloy Alfaro y su incidencia en el comportamiento sociocultural,2024”.(Ecuador: Latacunga: Universidad Técnica de Cotopaxi: (UTC), 2024-02) Masapanta Oña, Jenny Marisol; Ullcu Cabrera, Kerly Talia; Andrade Valencia, José AntonioThe aim of the current research is to assess the existing socio-environmental landscape at Eloy Alfaro parish and to determine its incidence on the socio-cultural population’s behavior. In order to achieve this, specific objectives have been established, which include carrying out a socio-environmental diagnosis, identifying the existing landscape units and studying the socio-cultural parish behavior. The methodology applied was qualitative and the methods applied were: cartography, which allowed the collection and analysis of geographic information, and the Bureau of Land Management (BLM) method, for the quality evaluation, absorption and visual fragility of the parish's landscape. The obtained results showed that the visual quality of the landscape gave an average of 15 points, establishing areas of MEDIUM quality, with variety in form, color and line, but with common characteristics existing in the region. The visual absorption quality (VQA), meanwhile, showed an average of 14.3, classifying it in class I, within the score range of 6 to 18 points, corresponding to a VERY FRAGILE landscape. Finally, the fragility results show an average of 17, placing it in class I, areas with fragile landscapes. Regarding the analysis of socio-cultural behavior, 92.6% of those surveyed people indicated that the cultural traditions existing in the Eloy Alfaro parish do influence socio-cultural behavior, while 7.4% of those surveyed indicated that they do not affect it. As for the environmental landscape, 77.1% indicated that the parish is in a medium state, and 18.1% mentioned that it is in a low landscape quality. Seven strategies focused on conservation and socio-environmental sustainability were established for the locality. It can be concluded that the study area is affected in its landscape units due to various activities of anthropogenic origin, being agriculture in certain areas that have degraded the visual component of the landscape and this has influenced the socio-environmental behavior of the people of the locality.
