Through the integration of this technology, the aim is to improve the precision and efficiency of the automated systems in the laboratory. The main objective of the study is to investigate the technical specifications and capabilities of the IoT in order to understand its operation and potential for monitoring key electrical data, such as: voltage, current, frequency, power and power factor, among others. To this purpose, a detailed implementation plan that includes the configuration and connection of the IoT with the SIMATIC S7-1200, together with the Sentron PAC3220 Meter, has been developed to the laboratory modules. Thus, ensuring effective integration into the existing environment. In addition, the performance of the Sentron PAC3220 in data collection was evaluated, analyzing the accuracy of the collected data and comparing it with conventional methods. The results obtained allow determining the impact of this technology on the efficiency of the laboratory, highlighting its capability to improve the monitoring and analysis of electrical parameters, and thus optimize the performance of automated systems.
