Abstract
This research was conducted in comprehensive schools in the Pasto Calle parish. This study, carried out as a Wolking group interested in improving the quality of the English teaching-learning process, aims to propose a curriculum that serves as a guide for teachers in their Works to archive quality basic education in rural áreas. The objetive that guide out research was: To DEVELOP a curriculum focused on the development of Listen and speaking skills to improve the quality of the English teaching-learning process in the second and third years of basic education in comprehensive schools in Pasto Calle. The study population consisted of 12 full-time teachers and 4 English teachers. A survey was administered to all of them in order to obtain information to support the research topic and the proposal. One questionnaire was administered to the full-time teachers and one to the English teachers, allowing each group to contribute information based on their teaching experience. The results obtained determined the need to create a curriculum focused on teaching English in the second and third years of basic education. Therefore, a proposal is presented below, which was developed taking insto account the multiplex problems and needs that English teaching demands in this sector.
